This Italian oil and gas logistics company run several international trade zones in Nigeria. They were seeking to inspire new investment and recruitment by promoting their 25 year history of success in a difficult political climate.
Wrapt Films made a series of eight films about the company's culture. By showing that this company cared about its people, professionalism and community we helped them achieve double their target for investment and recruitment.
Our first innovation was to make heroes of the employees. We shot a series of employee portraits ranging from top executives to the gardener and pool boy. Each had a line that when cut together told the story of the company. This was a truly radical concept to both Nigerian and Italian bosses alike but put a human face on the business.
Next we created a machine waltz. Most films about operational capacity are pretty dull. We made several thousand tonnes of machinery dance to the Blue Danube. When screened to an audience of over 2,000 some pretty burly engineers shed a tear or two over this film. Real emotional impact.
The final film showcased here highlighted the firm’s nascent CSR programme. They hadn’t reached many people yet but those lives that had been touched were transformed. Again we made the people the stars and there is real feeling in the interviews.
